Difference Between Teaching Methods and Strategy : 

Though the terms ‘method and strategy' are used interchangeably for the same purpose, but they are different.

1. Method is task-centered, while strategy both task and relationship-centered. 

2. Method aims at effective presentations of contents, strategy aims to create appropriate learning conditions. 

3. The content and mode of presentation are the basic elements of teaching method, while behavioral objectives and conditions are basic elements of teaching strategy. The content determines the method (telling, showing or doing) while objectives (cognitive, affective, psycho-motor) determine the strategy. 

4. Teaching strategy uses micro- teaching, while method uses macro approach to teaching.

The methods of teaching classified as teacher-centered methods and pupile categorized in several ways. They can be centered methods; as inductive and deductive methods.
