Mission Schools of Excellence: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Mission School of Excellence during an event in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Around 20,000 teachers and school management committee members from Gujarat participated in the event.  


Mission Schools of Excellence: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, 19 October launched the Mission School of Excellence in a program organized at Adalaj, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. This mission has been specifically launched in the state of Gujarat to strengthen education through setting up of new and smart classrooms, computer and science laboratories and schools infrastructure in the state. In this event around 20,000 teachers and school management committee (SMC) members from Gujarat participated. 


PM Modi announces upcoming project

Addressing the event, PM Modi announced that the project worth Rs 5,567 crore would be taken up in different phases. He also said about his government's achievements, like the development of a robust education system under NEP 2020 and the launch of 5G network.

Do not leave people uncomfortable with English

5G service will take the education system to the next level he said. For making this, Gujarat has taken the first step in the country through Mission School of Excellence (MSC). He advocated the use of local languages ​​to ensure that people uncomfortable with English were not left behind. PM Modi said that earlier knowledge of English was considered a sign of being educated and intelligent. But now things have completely changed.

Big change in the education system

Addressing the event, PM Modi discussed about the problems that Gujarat has faced in its education system in the last 20 years. This change has positively helped the students across the state. He also said that there was a time when 20 out of 100 students never went to school and girls were not part of the education system as they were never sent to school. A large number of school-goers dropped out of school by the time they reached class 8.
