Mo School Abhiyan : Proposals worth 52.72cr approved by School & Mass Education Odisha
Summary:
On 9th nov, The 37th Executive Council Meeting of Mo School Abhiyan was held at Bhubaneshwar. School and Mass Education Department (S&ME) approved proposals worth Rs 52.72 crore for 27 districts where Secretary Aswathy S chaired the meeting.
In the last one month about 45,388 alumni have joined hands with Mo School Abhiyan and have collected funds worth Rs 12.56 crore for the holistic development of their alma mater. Worth Rs 5 crore from various CSR funds also collected by Mo School Abhiyan .
CSR funds and The state govt contributes 2X of total amount with the donors’ contribution. The projects worth about ₹52.72 crore has approved by the Executive Council. Which will be availed for the holistic development of the Primary, Upper primary and Secondary high schools all across the state.
The alumni have contributed Rs 2.44 cr, Rs 2.02 cr, Rs 71.29 lakhs, Rs 60.32 lakhs, and Rs 54.62 lakhs in Balasore, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Bhadrak and in Bolangir districts respectively. In Mo School Abhiyan, till date almost 7.51 lakhs alumni have been connected
Under ST & SC Development Department After the successful inclusion of all schools, the Executive Council has received a proposal for inclusion of special schools under the ambit of Mo School. The Council has also decided to have a detailed discussion with the officials of the SSEPD department for the final way out.
The inclusion will contribute towards holistic development of students with disabilities. With the help of alumni members, Mo School Abhiyan has accelerated service volunteering in all 30 districts of the state with an aim to inspire and aspire the young generation through their skills, expertise and interest in various fields.In order to reach out to a greater number of alumni across the state, The Mo School team has conducted alumni meetings in 298 blocks of 30 districts.
What is Mo School Abhiyan ?
Mo School Mission Abhiyan is a Initiative of govt of Odisha that connects people who are intrested to work for schools of odisha in our country and also connects alum to their alma maters, inspired by the community action, collaborates with non-profit work in the field of education and inviting stakeholder to participates.
• Addressing the needs of students of varying ability, caste, gender, religion, ethnicity and linguistic-origin.
• From the early, Enable schools to provide appropriate creative, technological, physiological and psycho-social support to help students blossom and achieve goal, intrest and their full potential as they grow.
• Support schools to assist students with advancing into cheerful, sound, healthy mindset who can live as one with their current circumstance and proceed to do awesome innovative and productive things for their local area, state, country and the planet-at-large.

Utilization of Mo School Fund :
